Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using NameKarat (“the Service”), operated by Conduit488 (“we,” “us,” “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

NameKarat is a brand validation platform that analyzes brand names across legal, digital, jurisdictional, and cultural dimensions. We provide a Brand Health Score, detailed pillar breakdowns, and AI-powered recommendations to help founders evaluate brand names.

3. Accounts

You must create an account to purchase and access reports. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate information and to notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Purchases & Payments

• Single Report — $2.99 per report.
• 5-Pack — $7.99 for five reports ($1.60 each).

All payments are processed securely by Stripe. Prices are in USD and may be updated with notice. Purchased reports and unused 5-pack credits never expire.

5. Refund Policy

Because reports are generated instantly using live data and AI analysis, all sales are final once a report has been generated. If a report fails to generate due to a technical error on our side, we will either re-generate it at no cost or issue a full refund. Contact support@conduit488.ai for assistance.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically extract data from the Service.
• Circumvent rate limits, authentication, or security measures.
• Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit reports without our written consent.
• Submit malicious input designed to manipulate AI-generated analysis.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, AI models, scoring methodology, and branding, is owned by Conduit488. Reports you purchase are licensed to you for your personal or internal business use. You may share individual reports with advisors, co-founders, or legal counsel.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any report.

NameKarat is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Reports are informational tools based on publicly available data and AI analysis. Trademark search results reflect the state of public registries at the time of the query and may not capture pending applications, common-law marks, or state-level registrations. Always consult qualified intellectual property counsel before finalizing a brand name.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Conduit488 shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party providers including Supabase, Stripe, Anthropic, and public trademark registries. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or policies of these third-party services. Your use of Stripe is subject to Stripe's Terms of Service.

11. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your access to reports will be revoked, but we may retain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., fraud prevention, financial records).

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email at least 30 days in advance. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
